The next Empty Bowls event in Helsinki will be on September the 11th 2021. from 11 am to 2 pm. The info about the event will be in English on our website.

We have not added this year’s event yet to but it will be soon.

The event is once again part of Helsinki Design Week and will be held at the beautiful Helsinki Cathedral crypt cafe once again. I think that we started our event in 2003 and only missed it last year because of the pan epidemic, but we did have some smaller events anyhow last year.

Our event name is “Tyhjä kulho” that is Empty Bowls in Finnish, when we started I asked Lisa and John if it’s ok that we translate the name to Finnish, and it was ok for them.

Our event is organized with a no-budget, all the art, soups, and even the use of the cafe is donated so all our visitor’s donations for this event will go directly to Unicef.
