Art students at Mount Desert Elementary School have been learning about pottery and are inviting you to their Empty Bowls Service Learning Project on Tuesday, March 21st from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor.
For $10.00 you will receive your choice of a hand-thrown and decorated bowl, filled with your choice of soup. Mount Desert Elementary School 8th graders will provide music during the event.
There will also be a silent auction of a small selection of the bowls, designed by local artists.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Good Shephard Food Bank to help local families with food insecurity.
Tickets are available on the night of the 21st, at the door. There are over 100 bowls, so there should be plenty of room for all wishing to attend.
