Please join us for the annual Empty Bowls events!
Mesa Community College (MCC) invites the community to its annual Empty Bowls events. For a $10 donation, patrons receive a one-of-a-kind handcrafted ceramic bowl along with a meal of soup and bread. There will also be a silent auction featuring ceramics by some of the Valley’s most talented artists. All proceeds benefit the Paz de Cristo Community Center.
Wednesday, Nov. 5 — MCC Red Mountain Campus
7110 E. McKellips Rd. (Mesquite Building, Community Room)
Hours: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 12 — MCC Southern and Dobson Campus
1833 W. Southern Ave., (Kirk Student Center, Navajo Room)
Hours: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
In addition to Empty Bowls, we will have donation stations available to help stock the Mesa Market (food pantry for students). Please bring your canned and non-perishable food items to help provide for MCC students.
Students need:
- Boxed meals
- Nut butters
- Canned fruit, jam and jellies
- Beans, Soups, Vegetables
- Grains rice, quinoa, noodles, pasta
- Vegan and gluten-free items
- Snacks crackers, energy bars, jerky
- Canned meats chicken, turkey, beef
- Cooking basics flour, sugar, salt, oils, spices
- Canned fish tuna, salmon, kippers, sardines
