Mississippi School of Folk Arts – Empty Bowls 03/07/2021

Hi Leroy!
I am getting ready to do a radio interview for our local Empty Bowls event and wanted to make some notes on the organization and saw that we can submit our event here.

Mississippi School of Folk Arts

Sunday March 7 from 11:30-1:00

This Sunday March 7 from 11:30-1:00 Mississippi School of Folk Arts will be hosting an Empty Bowls event for our local meal service, the Natchez Stewpot. This will be a drive through event, we considered postponing this event but hunger has become even more pressing in our area over the last year so we have decided to go forward as a to go only event.  Our local event occurs every two years.

We will be connecting more with you in the future as we host additional Empty Bowls events, we are proud of our potters within the school and community and what they are giving back.  Thank you for the work you do as well, our event started out with someone wanting to sell bowls who had not heard of the events and we’ve followed that guideline ever since.  MSFA is new to the organizer of the event but our local teaching studio has been involved for twenty years, we recently purchased the studio and with it Empty Bowls!

Thank you,
Sarah Freeman
