We’re coming together for a feel-good community event — and you’re invited! Join us at MUSEjar for our Empty Bowls Fundraiser, a simple gathering with a big purpose: raising awareness about food insecurity and supporting the amazing work of Big Big Table Community Café, Buffalo’s pay-as-you-can café.
Here’s how it works: Each ticket includes one handmade ceramic bowl (crafted by our students and volunteers) and one serving of delicious soup donated by Dailys Catering. You get to take the bowl home as a reminder of the impact we can make when we show up for each other.
All proceeds from the event go directly to Big Big Table to help them keep doing what they do best — serving up good food, dignity, and community.

About Big Big Table Community Café:
Big Big Table Community Café is a lunchtime restaurant open to EVERYBODY!
Serving delicious, nutritious, meals while at the same time championing healthy, local food options, addressing food insecurity, reducing food waste, and supporting community.
At a traditional restaurant, a guest is asked to exchange money for their meal. At Big Big Table, guests are invited to exchange money, time, or groceries in exchange for their meal. The pay-as-you-can model strives to promote healthy individuals and communities.

Meet your Instructor
Charmaine M.
Charmaine, born and raised in San Jose, CA, grew up helping her father, a self-taught engineer and architect, with home projects. She holds a BA in Design Studies and Photography from San Jose State. In 2015, she moved to East Aurora and left her career as a graphic designer to stay home with her two young boys. Now an artist, maker, builder, and DIYer, Charmaine is always in search of a creative outlet and enjoys working with any artistic tools, whether it’s a pen, brush, clay, or power tool.
